Now Seeking Intern Hosts for Summer 2023 and Beyond!

Is your company interested in cultivating diverse young talent? Look no further than America On Tech’s Access Tech Program! AOT is currently seeking partners to host our students and alumni as interns in summer 2023 and beyond, so spread the word!

AOT’s Access Tech Internship Program connects employers with our pool of talented 16-24 year old program graduates for a meaningful and mutually beneficial experience for both parties. Employer partners are able to contribute to their corporate citizenship and DEI agendas while growing brand loyalty with the next generation of tech talent. For our students and alumni, they gain the opportunity to put the skills they have learned in our technology training programs and through their college coursework into real-life work experiences with technologists in the field.

"During my internship last summer, I worked towards strengthening the data management strategy for the nonprofit I was working with,” said AOT alum and former Data Management Intern Sarah Khan. “I plan on majoring in Data or Statistics, so this internship was the perfect way to test the waters and see if this field is right for me!"

Our AOT alumni are supremely talented and are able to contribute high quality work to any team or project they join. In addition to the experience they gain from participating in our comprehensive tech training programs, all Access Tech Interns also participate in our 2  day Access Tech Professional Development Summit series in late June that covers a wide range of topics from workforce etiquette and networking to culturally relevant topic like code switching to ensure that every Access Tech intern is ready to contribute from day one.

Guy Jones, VP of Products at Anteriad and a 2022 Intern Host had this to say about his experience with AOT:  “We had a project that required updating a complex data table. Our intern joined the team working on this project and became a key contributor, after deeply understanding key data elements, expected behavior of the data, how to query data using SQL, and visualizing the data using tools such as Tableau. The project was a tremendous success, in part due to her incredible contributions.”
