LEARN HOW TO CODE
WITH AMERICA ON TECH THIS SUMMER!

The TECH360 Summer Bootcamp Program is currently available to ​high school students located in New York City (all boroughs), Los Angeles County, and Miami-Dade and Broward County.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The TECH360 Summer Bootcamp is an intensive, 3-week program where students learn how to code through web design and web development. Throughout the program students will learn industry-aligned technical and professional skills, gaining knowledge of key coding languages and frameworks including HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.

During the final week of the program, students will put their knowledge to the test and work in teams to create and present a final website during the end-of-program Demo Day Competition.

​Most sessions will be hosted via Zoom and students who successfully complete the program will receive a $500 stipend.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

​WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
Rising high school juniors and seniors between the ages of 15-19 currently attending a New York City (all boroughs), Los Angeles County, or Miami / Broward high school are eligible to apply.  Graduating high school seniors (Class of '22) would not be eligible to participate in the program.
​
AOT prioritizes candidates who:
  • Self-identify as Hispanic / Latinx
  • Self-identify as African American / Black ​
  • Self-identify as females and/or girls and/or non-binary
  • Self-identify as LGBTQIA+
  • Attend a NYC, LA, or Miami / Broward high school that meets our Economic Needs Index 

​*Please note that previous AOT participants are not eligible for this program.
DO I HAVE TO LIVE IN NYC, LOS ANGELES, OR MIAMI?
Yes. To be eligible to participate in the TECH360 program you must be a resident of NYC (all boroughs), Los Angeles County, or Miami - Dade and/or Broward County. ​
IS THE PROGRAM VIRTUAL?
It is hybrid*! In-person sessions will take place during the final week of program as you work on your final team project. Specific dates for in-person sessions are listed above. 

​*The Miami program will be 100% virtual. ​
​WHEN WILL I FIND OUT IF I WAS ACCEPTED?
Application decisions will go out the week of June 8th for NY and LA Programs.  Students who are accepted must submit their confirmation form and parent consent packet to reserve their space in the program by June 15th.

For Miami programs, decisions will go out the week of July 18th.
DO I NEED TO HAVE PREVIOUS CODING EXPERIENCE?
Nope. No prior experience is required - just the desire to learn!
IS THERE A COST TO PARTICIPATE?
The TECH360 Summer Bootcamp is completely free! In fact, students who successfully complete the program will earn a $500 stipend.
DO I HAVE TO ATTEND ALL PROGRAM SESSIONS?
The TECH360 Bootcamp moves FAST! In order to be able to really learn the material, it is important that you are present for all sessions. Students who cannot commit to the full program should not apply. ​
WHAT KIND OF TECHNOLOGY DO I NEED TO PARTICIPATE?
In order to participate fully you'll need a laptop and/or desktop computer and a stable internet connection!
