Congratulations to AOT's 2021 LA TFL Competition Winners!

This fall, America On Tech partnered with Alliance MIT and STEM Prep Schools to provide the Tech Flex Leaders (TFL) program for students. ​

Teachers from each school were put through a teacher professional development program, where they learned the fundamentals of web design and development from AOT members, who have extensive knowledge in the tech field.  Over the course of 10 weeks, our teachers presented to their students the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, while also developing their professional skill sets and exploring industry aligned coding tools.  As a final project, students were placed in teams of 3-4 and were provided with a mock business client brief.  Students took their knowledge of coding from the TFL program and developed a website according to the mock client brief.  Each school had its own preliminary competition, where all groups presented their sites to compete for the 6 final competition openings.  3 teams from both schools were selected and went on to compete in the 2021 Virtual Tech Flex Leaders Demo Day Competition, where all teams competed against each other for the top 3 prizes!  This competition was held virtually over Zoom. Today we are featuring those winners in our blog!
