We are thrilled to announce our newest cohort of America on Tech (AOT) leaders, the 2021 - 2022 Peer Mentors! This year our twenty one Peer Mentors will be working virtually to support and help lead 8 Tech Flex Leaders cohorts in New York City and 4 Tech Flex Leaders cohorts in Los Angeles. Our Peer Mentor Program hires our alumni and provides them with work experience and leadership skills. Peer Mentors assist students in understanding the curriculum and mentor students in developing their technical and professional abilities. Of this year’s diverse group of Peer Mentors, 57% identify as female and 76% identify as Black or Latinx. Thanks to our shift to virtual programming, these students are enrolled in 17 different high schools and colleges around the country. We are lucky to have a cohort of Peer Mentors with a wide range of specialities, as their majors include Computer Science, Engineering, Graphic Design, and Web Programming. We are especially proud to note that this year all peer mentors will be earning $20 an hour for their invaluable contribution to the Tech Flex Leaders program. We are so excited to welcome these exceptional students, and we know that they will make a tremendous impact as they mentor and lead the newest generation of AOT students and future technology leaders!
