Why did you get involved with America On Tech?
The mission of America On Tech fills an important need in our communities by creating a pathway to technology for underrepresented students and by increasing the diversity of the STEM talent pool. In order to create technology that works for a diverse society we need people with a diversity of thinking and experience to build it. Technology is my passion. America On Tech is an opportunity for young people, who may not otherwise have the exposure, to develop that same passion and it can be life changing. It was for me, as a young person.
What legacy do you hope to leave as a member of the board?
I hope to help the organization strategize on expanding the program to different regions of the country. I hope to help reach more people, impact more lives and provide more services.
What do you hope for the future success of America On Tech's students?
I hope that these students establish their excellence in becoming part of an industry that supports continuous growth and opportunity. I also hope that they use the skills that they gain to build technology for the good of society and that they go on to help others in their communities find their passion and pathways to success.
