Michelleta Razon is Executive Vice President of Commercial Programs at Mastercard. Michelleta oversees the operations and technology of commercial programs targeted to large corporations, as well as, small and medium sized businesses. Commercial Programs include virtual card solutions, travel and entertainment platforms, business to business payment services, as well as, microcredit platforms that enable financial inclusion initiatives targeted to small and micro-enterprises. Prior to joining Mastercard, Michelleta held various technical leadership positions at Teradata, SAS Institute and several small start-ups. In her role as Vice President of Analytical Applications at Teradata, Michelleta led all aspects of global technology development for analytical platforms including architecture, engineering, cloud and software as a service operations. Michelleta holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Capitol College. Why did you get involved with America On Tech? The mission of America On Tech fills an important need in our communities by creating a pathway to technology for underrepresented students and by increasing the diversity of the STEM talent pool. In order to create technology that works for a diverse society we need people with a diversity of thinking and experience to build it. Technology is my passion. America On Tech is an opportunity for young people, who may not otherwise have the exposure, to develop that same passion and it can be life changing. It was for me, as a young person. What legacy do you hope to leave as a member of the board? I hope to help the organization strategize on expanding the program to different regions of the country. I hope to help reach more people, impact more lives and provide more services. What do you hope for the future success of America On Tech's students? I hope that these students establish their excellence in becoming part of an industry that supports continuous growth and opportunity.
