America On Tech and Blackstone Partner on Student Career Day this Spring!

On April 8th, 2021, America On Tech and Blackstone collaborated to host one of our spring semester career days for our NYC Tech Flex Leaders! Blackstone is one of the world’s leading investment firms, and their mission is to create long-term value for their investors through careful stewardship of their investors’ capital. America On Tech is proud to partner with an organization dedicated to ensuring equitable access to degrees and careers in technology.

A total of 24 of our Tech Flex Leaders combined with the support of 11 Blackstone employees helped lead one of our strongest career days of the semester! Starting with a panel discussion with members of the Blackstone team, our Tech Flex Leaders received advice and insight into the world of technology and all that it encompasses. Blackstone employees represented many different disciplines - from product management to analytics - providing students with a comprehensive overview of just how varied a career in technology can look.  Following the discussion, students participated in networking rounds with Blackstone team members where they were able to further explore their questions broached during the panel discussion.

​Our students expressed just how much they enjoyed the career day hosted by Blackstone, claiming the insight they received was extremely helpful in preparing them for a potential role in the tech world. See some of their comments below:
