As someone who is passionate about closing the achievement gap to provide economic opportunities for underserved students, Martine has over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector specifically serving in roles dedicated to advancing racial and educational equity, youth and young adult development, and college and career readiness. Martine has also worked leading various communications and programmatic initiatives of community-based organizations. Her prior positions have involved programmatic launches, which have taught her to evaluate the gifts and needs of a community, develop partnerships and networks, cast vision, and lead through change.
Martine is a recipient of the Bank of America Neighborhood Builder Rising Leader Award. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Florida Southern College. She also has a Master’s in Public Administration with a focus in Community Development from Florida International University. She is excited to be working to help to create pathways for students into technology careers.
When she’s not working, Martine enjoys traveling and exploring new countries, spending time at the beach, and cooking new vegetarian recipes.
