Maddie is a democracy, public policy, and education professional with experience in the non-profit and private sectors. Previously, Maddie served as a recruiting manager for west coast educators with CalWest Educators Placement. She also worked in democracy expansion, conducting research with Columbia World Projects on behalf of the NYC Civic Engagement Commission, organizing volunteer poll monitors statewide with Common Cause NY / Election Protection Coalition, and advocating on behalf of expanded voting rights with Common Cause NY / Let NY Vote. Maddie is excited to bring her expertise in education, technology policy, and community organizing to her work at AOT.
A Los Angeles native, Maddie earned her BA in Politics with minors in Education and Urban & Environmental Policy from Occidental College, and her MPA in Urban and Social Policy from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs.
