Kylie began her career teaching high school science in Jacksonville, Florida. After leaving the traditional classroom, Kylie worked with various organizations, including with the North Florida Health Corps, Duval County YMCA, and Healthy Jacksonville Childhood Obesity Coalition on projects ranging from curriculum development to policy research and advocacy. Before venturing back north to pursue her master's degree, Kylie managed a 21st Century Community Learning Center where she focused on STEM programming and project-based learning. In New York, Kylie has worked with the Harlem Children's Zone where she implemented the Employment and Technology Center's STEM immersion programming model. She has also worked on policy projects for the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the CUNY Urban Food Policy Institute.
