Katie Hudson Director of Development at Syracuse University
As Director of Development at Syracuse University, Katie works with alumni, parents, and donors to change the trajectory of students’ lives and to advance faculty research and innovation through philanthropy. She focuses on establishing and managing relationships with potential major gift prospects in the New York City Tri-state area on behalf of the entire University.
Prior to switching careers into fundraising, she spent a number of years in the talent development space in the education sector. Katie worked for the Columbia Business School Career Management Center, focusing on building relationships with business partners across the globe ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies. She also led the New York City Outcomes Team at General Assembly (GA), a global education company concentrating on education-to-employment for skills related to data, design, business, and technology. Katie holds a BS in Broadcast Journalism from the Syracuse University S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and an Masters in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University. She has been volunteering with America on Tech since 2014.
