Brian Kirn Internship & Alumni Relations Coordinator
Brian Kirn began his career teaching Spanish for two years with Teach For America in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, also sponsoring student council activities on campus and serving as a Head Team Advisor for the National Student Leadership Conference. He then spent two years on TFA’s national Finance and Administration team in a communications and training capacity. He later led all corporate partnership initiatives for the New York City LGBT Community Center, followed by two years in the research departments of two leading real estate firms in the city. He is also a professional actor, affiliated with SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity Association. Brian is a proud graduate of the University of Missouri, with Bachelor’s Degrees in Theatre, Spanish, and Psychology, and a Graduate Certificate in Spanish K-12 Education. He was named as part of Mizzou ’39 (recognizing the top 39 seniors on campus) and selected as a Pi Kapp Scholar. He has continued on as a member of the Mizzou Alumni Association NYC Board and in various volunteer capacities for Pi Kappa Phi, including Regional Governor of the Greater NYC region and recognition in the inaugural class of “30 Under 30”. In his spare time, he enjoys being active in the city, discovering new brunch spots, and traveling with friends and family (16 countries and counting, most recently Poland).
