Position Type: Contract (September 12, 2023 - December 7, 2023)
Contract Rate: $9,000 for 4 cohorts, $4500 for 2 cohorts
Location: Hybrid, 2 in-person weeks

About the Tech Flex Leaders Program
The Tech Flex Leaders (TFL) Program is an immersive out-of-school time program for juniors and seniors. This program engages students interested in technology through:
Our TFL instructors will work with 2 or 4 different cohorts of students who meet once a week for 2 hours. Each cohort is between 25 and 30 students, all either juniors or seniors in high school.
The ideal candidate for Web Development Instructor will:
NOTE: There is no program for students or Instructors during the week of November 20th. Additionally, there will be no technical instruction the week of December 4th. Instead, Instructors will use their normally contracted weekly hours to assess student work, submit feedback, and support students competing in the Demo Day competition on December 7th. Attendance at Demo Day is optional, but not required.

- Weekly technical training sessions taught by industry experts - topics include HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript
- Intersectional professional development sessions designed to prepare students to confidently pursue degrees and careers in technology
- Career days and mentorship opportunities with representatives from leading technology companies
Our TFL instructors will work with 2 or 4 different cohorts of students who meet once a week for 2 hours. Each cohort is between 25 and 30 students, all either juniors or seniors in high school.
The ideal candidate for Web Development Instructor will:
- Be available for Virtual Instructor Onboarding on September 12, 2023 and September 14, 2023 from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- Be available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. from September 18, 2023 - December 7, 2023 + an additional 5 hours/week for preparation and assessment and student office hours (15 hrs/ week total). Please note, student office hours will be held on Fridays at a time agreed upon by the instructor and programs team.
- Be available 2 days/week (days TBD based on student enrollment) from 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. from September 18, 2023 - December 7, 2023 + an additional 2.5 hours/week for preparation and assessment and student office hours (7.5 hrs/ week total). Please note, student office hours will be held on Fridays at a time agreed upon by the instructor and programs team.

- Be available for in-person sessions in downtown Manhattan the weeks of: October 30th and November 27th
- Have knowledge and the ability to deliver high quality lessons on HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript and are familiar with the Repl.it coding platform
- Assess student projects and assignments using AOT-developed rubrics
- Complete mid and post-program surveys to assess program and report on instructor experience
- Review curriculum and prepare lessons, building in demonstrations to enhance the content and support student learning
- Sync regularly with Program Manager to discuss program impact and to troubleshoot any challenges
- Be engaging and exciting - committed to ensuring a positive learning environment for all students
- Commit- All sessions must be attended in order for the students to receive a seamless, high quality experience.
