Shimeka has extensive experience in education. She began her career at California State University, Dominguez Hills as a Financial Aid professional and later transitioned into leadership roles with Bryman College and Pepperdine University. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of areas, including Student Recruitment, and Enrollment, where she led initiatives to diversify the student population of graduate and undergraduate degree programs. She continues to serve diverse student populations as an adjunct professor for Westcliff University, where she teaches courses such as Business Research, Leadership, and Organizational Behavior. Shimeka holds a Ph.D. in Global Leadership and Change from Pepperdine University. She also holds a Master of Public Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She brings experience in Strategic Partnerships, Human Resources, CRM Management, and Research. She is passionate about removing barriers for people of color and excited to create pathways to help students interested in careers in technology.
