As we close the fall semester of AOT's 2024-2025 Tech Flex Leaders (TFL) program, it’s time to reflect on the incredible accomplishments of our students and celebrate the vibrant demo day events that showcased their talents in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. This year, the program continued its mission to empower students with cutting-edge skills in technology and prepare them for successful futures in the tech industry.

Transformational Impact: The Fall Semester in Numbers

Our TFL program has consistently delivered measurable outcomes, and the mid-year data highlights the dedication and talent of our students across the three regions:
  • New York:
    • 275 students enrolled, with a remarkable 92% semester completion rate.
    • Students achieved a 99% project completion rate, with average post-assessment scores rising 32 points in advanced courses and 30 points in introductory courses.
    • 93% of students reported satisfaction with their TFL experience, and 99% would recommend the program.
  • Los Angeles:
    • 201 students joined, with 86% successfully completing the fall semester.
    • A 95% project completion rate was accompanied by a 40-point increase in introductory course post-assessment scores and a 23-point jump in advanced courses.
    • 96% of students expressed satisfaction, with 100% eager to recommend the program to friends.
  • Miami:
    • With 118 students enrolled and a perfect 100% project completion rate, Miami's students shone brightly.
    • Students saw an average 27-point improvement in introductory post-assessment scores and a 13-point gain in advanced courses.
    • Satisfaction and recommendation rates hit an impressive 99% and 100%, respectively.
These numbers reflect the transformative impact of the program, equipping students with technical expertise and fostering confidence and enthusiasm for tech careers.
Spotlight on December’s Demo Day Events

December brought the culmination of months of hard work as students in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami took center stage at our Fall Demo Days. These events celebrated creativity, innovation, and technical achievement, showcasing projects that solved real-world problems while demonstrating students' mastery of the skills learned throughout the semester.

  1. New York Demo Day: Held at Amazon Web Services, the event featured a diverse array of projects, from data visualizations to web applications tackling issues like environmental sustainability and access to education. Students presented to an audience of industry leaders, mentors, and community members, receiving valuable feedback and networking opportunities.
  2. Los Angeles Demo Day: LA’s Demo Day was an energetic celebration of creativity, with projects focusing on entertainment, health tech, and social good. The enthusiasm of students and the supportive tech community underscored the collaborative spirit that defines AOT's programs.
  3. Miami Demo Day: Miami’s vibrant event highlighted the city’s growing tech ecosystem, with students delivering innovative solutions for local challenges. From mobile apps to community-driven platforms, their work reflected the unique cultural and social fabric of the region.
Across all three cities, the Demo Days not only spotlighted student talent but also demonstrated the importance of community support in nurturing the next generation of tech leaders.

Looking Ahead: Building on Momentum

As we transition into the spring semester, AOT is excited to build on this momentum. With 512 students continuing in the program, we are confident that their dedication and creativity will continue to inspire.

We are deeply grateful to the mentors, industry partners, and community members who make our mission possible. Together, we are shaping the future of tech—one student at a time.

Stay tuned for more updates as we enter the next chapter of the 2024-2025 TFL program, and don’t miss the opportunity to join us in celebrating the achievements of these talented individuals at future events.
