Melody joined AOT in 2024 as the Director of Curriculum. She started her career as a high school English teacher in Queens. After that, she pursued her passion for curriculum design at SEO Scholars, a college-readiness program. Next, she ventured into the tech space by studying UX Design. This led her to develop courses for Codecademy, where she realized the power of combining learning theory with design thinking. As a lifelong educator, Melody is committed to designing learning experiences that inspire and empower. She has a B.A. in English from Hope College, an M.A. in Education from Brooklyn College, and a certification in UX Design from CareerFoundry. Outside of work, she enjoys treasure hunting in thrift stores, attending comedy shows, and spending time in beautiful spaces like parks and libraries.
