Amita is currently a Market Leader for Cognizants' Digital Business Operations, Banking and Financial Services practice for North America.  She focuses her efforts on enabling large scale digital business operations transformation programs within the financial services industry (Global Banking & Insurance).  Amita has spent her career over the past two decades as a Senior Executive across industries primarily focused on Banking & Financial Services Clients across the globe. 

Amita holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Queen’s University, Doctoral (PhD) degree in Social Sciences (Values Based Leadership within global financial services) from RRU, a Bachelors of Business Administration from BCIT, a Women In Leadership certificate from Harvard Business School and a Digital Platforms Post Graduate Diploma from MIT/Columbia.

She is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Human Resources Professional (CPHR), a certified CRM Salesforce Cloud Consultant, certified Google Cloud Consultant, certified Google Analytics consultant, and more.

Prior to moving to Miami this month, Amita has volunteered with her professional associations on the regional advisory boards along with her children’s sports and schools advisory councils.
 
Now she looks forward to taking on a new volunteer role by joining the America on Tech Regional Advisory Board - Miami Chapter.  Amita, her husband and two children aged 10 & 11 have just moved to Miami as requested by her current employer and they look forward to getting to know the area and people.
